Impression of February FD meeting
I felt the meeting was quite a success as it managed to carry out its intended action plan smoothly. The skit, puppet show and sharing were quite well done and the message that it wanted to bring across was seen to be successfully passed down to the students, who were seen laughing and responding with interest. :D That’s great!
When it first started out, I/Cs were bringing students in by batches and I could tell that we still don’t know each other that well yet. The game helped in letting us get to interact with each other, but it didn’t really let us know more about one another. HOWEVER, the group sharing session we had at the end of the meeting had a round of introductions that allowed us to know more about one another :D
Overall, this meeting was rather quiet, and maybe we could introduce games that allow students to interact and communicate more. Even though the meeting brought across its messages from the gosho, some students still came as strangers and left as strangers. Maybe bonding games could be played to allow students to have more interaction!
Nevertheless, it was a meeting with substance, and the program was its biggest highlight, packed with all sorts of interesting tidbits and information on Nichiren Daishinin’s Buddhism.
